Post Accident on McCowan

Riding home at about 5am, I take the McCowan SB exit and I see what looks like a white cbr600 standing up in the ditch on the left side of the ramp. I lean over for a look but I see nothing else. Up top at the end of the ramp, I see a pick-up truck. I decided I'd loop around to Kennedy and come back for a closer look at the situation, being the nosey type=P
As I approach again, I see the pick up truck pulling what looks like a totally different bike; ninja 500 perhaps.
My thoughts are either:
1. two bikes went down overshooting the ramp or colliding on the ramp,
2. There was only one bike and I just didn't get a clear look at the bike the first time around, or
3. I'm just hallucinating from the exhausting night ride I just came from.

Either way(omitting 3), I hope the rider(s) is/are okay and s/he/they just ran out of gas or broke down.
