Bill 117 - a Disappearing Act
According to the Clerk of the Ont. Legislature's Justice Policy committee, when the Legislature prorogued on March 4th, Bill 117 - the bill to outlaw child passengers on motorcycles - was NOT designated to be carried forward to the new legislative session to begin next week.
Therefore Bill 117 disappears from the legislature, committee, and our concern - as if it never existed.
It is little wonder that the general public mistrusts politicians.

Meh... Good riddance.
Re: Bill 117 - a Disappearing Act
Introducing this bill in the first place was the wrong thing to do, but making it go away was the right thing to do.
Re: Bill 117 - a Disappearing Act
All it takes is for Ms. Laczek To open her under-informed mouth once again. It's been rescued from the scrap heap once already.
But GOD, I do hope it stays dead.
Re: Bill 117 - a Disappearing Act
Who says nothing good comes from proroguing the Leglislature? This is a very good end to that bad idea from MPP Jaczek.
