ronnie i think you are lost, this is the cruiser/touring forum. :laughing8:
Ride for sight, Cutekill's winter blues party and of course my fall BBQ and ride.
Cheers 8)
Aminal
After last year, I am looking forward to helping out with the Ride to Conquer Cancer again. Not a motorcycle event per se, but it feels a heck of a lot like riding through the tour de france.
Other than that, I am not really into big organized motorcycle events (or big organized anything for that matter).
The events I won't miss are the V-Strom kickoff ride at the end of April starting in Barrie, a V-Strom reunion at Ironhorse near the Tail of the Dragon May 13 to 16, and a meetup in Ohio on the Labour Day weekend. I wouldn't want to miss any of those events if I could help it and plan on going to them all this year.

when you are in a room full of the people on the thread you look around and if they can grow facial hair and dont have super bad acne it is the cruiser/touring section. if it is full of prepubescents dressed like power rangers you are at the sportbike rally.
it doesnt have to be a motorcycle event but somewhere you always go on your bike enjoy the ride there and it is an awesome event! that is all the criteria need be. i do go to alot of bike events. rodeos ect... but the thread does not need to be pigeon holed like that.

RR did you go up to SBR before the town took over the show? I went for about half a dozen years before they took over and havn't been since. I have heard mostly only poor revues since the town got the riens.
I haven't been to a so-called Motorcycle" event in years. Too much standing around, Too much everything else except the main thing RIDING.
So I ride - 3 to 8 or 9 day "events" Always south to the States! Did a few rides to the Ottawa valley, Calaboogie etc... Too few roads to much repetition.
Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Tennessee have more roads than you can count and there's hilly twisty roads with great affordable accommodations everywhere. Especially with a 94 cent dollar and American gas prices... Cheap food and cheap beer in the evenings, great local folks full of stories. It gets no better, nowhere.
What..!!!! i had the pleasure to be at Aminal bbq last riding season... and i most say it was if not the best... one of the best ride i ever had.... such a nice road trip and excellent fellow riders.... i won't miss it for anything in the world the 10 aniversary of Aminal BBQ this year...
ride safe and see you guys this coming season...
Juan.
EDITED: i tried to help with a 10 dls donation that day, and i asked Aminal like 10 times "Where is the JAR"... and guess what..?? nobody took the money from me... nice meet and nice food... free food... :confused1: sorry i tried to donate $...
to be honest dirtbag i dont care if it is contradictory. i have been attacked by the sport bike crowd on this forum for little or no reason so many times i just dont care.
the sportbike rally in parry sound used to be a good event and now it is lame. the controls on everything are so tight it is ridiculous. i have been in the early years and since th town took over.
i love a good party at the end of a great ride. i love the bike rodeos, i love to meet people who ride. sometimes it is good to stop and look around, smell the flowers.
i cant wait for pike falls this year. i have never been and i am stoked to go!
here we go, have a sense of humor. clowns
Try saying something funny.
