I got a great deal on a set of rims for my bike, but the front has a big ding in it.
Are there any local shops that can repair it?
Any idea of the cost?
Thanks!

I know that Sandy at pro 6 has done it in the past, he did one of my Buell wheels.
Cost and if he still does it is outside of my recollection.
Pro6 used to, Z1 used to and "that place in Quebec" used to but they don't anymore.
The only place I know of that still does it is Maximum Cycle in London but for the $ you can likely get a good rim off the interwebz.
Standard GTAM advice is a different used rim is close to price of repairing your rim and work hardened aluminum is more likely to develop problems in the futures. Was it still a great price if only one of the rims is useful?
Last time I checked, they subcontract it out and it's not cheap. To fix a minor bend in a rim that I bought very cheaply, I made a fixture for a bench vise and bent it back myself; that's the one I have a rain tire mounted on. I suspect that a lot of places don't want to touch this because of potential liability.
look up rim king here in toronto. they did a perfect repair on my front wheel for 250$. a new wheel is 1300$ from bwm (k1200 lt). i had to remove the tire, rotors, valve stem and bearings. well worth it.
Does Carcone's not do motorcycle wheels?
carcone's in aurora? aren't they a wrecker for cars?
Also a very popular (and good) rim refinisher for cars...dealers use them a lot.
