ghetto shift lever repair
Lowsided and the shift peg broke off. Ebay was selling shift levers for around $25 bones including shipping and, factoring in the wait time, I decided to do ghetto repair instead.

The nuts and bolts cost $1.62! Took it for a test ride and she shifts like butter (but looks like margarine). Still, I can't believe it's not butter!

Re: ghetto shift lever repair
\HAhahah ive lost count the amount times ive seen that done or had to do it myself...if u get some hockey stick tape it helps with the grip and its nice and soft, even softer than the original...

Re: ghetto shift lever repair
I went even further on my old zx7. I actually used a bigger diameter bolt and ground the head round, put on the rubber, and you couldn't tell the difference from stock.
I actually sold the bike that way. lol
